Hello, my Creative Critters!  

Get ready for an incredible month packed with events, opportunities, and chances to connect with fellow story lovers! The first big adventure kicks off in less than a week — LTUE: Life, The Universe, and Everything — and I couldn’t be more excited to share all the details with you.

LTUE is more than just a writing conference; it’s a celebration of storytelling in all its forms! As the secretary for the LTUE committee, I have a special inside scoop, and I’m thrilled to announce that this year will be extra special for me. It’s my very first convention where I’ll be signing and selling my book, Fall From Heaven, in person!

What makes LTUE so amazing?

It’s an all-inclusive event tailored for authors, writers, screenwriters, illustrators, gamers, and storytelling enthusiasts. Imagine a vibrant hub with 10 different tracks running simultaneously, that’s right, ten classes happening at once, covering a wide array of topics to spark your creativity and sharpen your skills.

Here’s a quick tour of the tracks:

- Academics: Dive into the technical side of storytelling — understanding how stories work, the nitty-gritty of literature, and how to weave those elements into your writing.

- Art: Perfect for illustrators and visual storytellers! Learn how to tell a story through your art and master storytelling tricks.

- Professional Development: My personal favorite! Covering paths to traditional and self-publishing, starting a podcast, managing burnout, and more.

- Special Events: Guest speakers, pitch sessions, mass singing — opportunities to engage with industry professionals and fellow fans.

- Transmedia: Craft stories across multiple platforms — podcasts, board games, music, and screenplays.

- World Building: From mapping to creating rich histories, this track helps you craft immersive worlds.

- Writing: Focuses on the craft — humor, scene setting, research, and avoiding burnout.

And the fun doesn’t stop there!

- The vendor floor is open to the public for FREE — browse and buy from your favorite authors and artists.

- Tickets for the conference are just $85, available online or at the door.

- Early bird tickets start at $55.

- On Friday the 13th at 7 pm, join us for the Mass Signing Event — a fantastic chance to meet authors, including me! Even if you’re not buying anything, come say hello — I’d love to chat!

Now, about StoryCon — and why I’m so excited about it!

This will be my first time attending StoryCon, Utah’s most prominent writers’ event, but I’ll be part of it. I won’t just be an attendee — I’ll have my own booth, E.L. Dawn’s Collections (#440), located near the seating area with the risers, on the opposite side of the exhibitor hall entrance.

What is StoryCon?

It’s the ultimate celebration of stories, a massive gathering that combines a fan expo with a writers’ conference. Imagine a lively space filled with author panels, workshops for all ages (teens, tweens, adults, educators), and a huge exhibit hall with FREE public access.

And guess what? They always host incredible guest speakers! This year, the legendary Brandon Sanderson will be there, a dream come true for any fantasy fan or aspiring writer!

Whether you’re into books, games, movies, or love stories, StoryCon is the place to learn, connect, and get inspired. I can’t wait to meet you there, show off my booth, and share my passion for storytelling!

I truly hope to see you at one or both of these fantastic events! It’s always a pleasure to connect in person, share ideas, and celebrate our shared passion for storytelling.
